Pipo U1 Pro: Dual Core Android Jelly Bean 7-inch Tablet for Php6,000

Is this the best value-for-money Android tablet?

Dual-core Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Tablet for 6k!?

Looks like we have a serious challenger to the throne of budget-friendly and value-for-money tablets. The Pipo U1 Pro sells for around Php6,000 on various online sellers (most of them on Sulit) and it has very competitive specifications. It runs on a dual-core processor, has a generous serving of 1GB RAM, and it has the latest Android software, 4.1 Jelly Bean. Here’s a complete rundown of the specifications that we were able to find on the Internet:

We tried several sellers to get a unit but all of the ones we contacted said they were out of stock. The good news is though that there’s a very high chance they’ll have units again this week. We already made a reservation. We’ll give you guys the unboxing and the full review then! To satisfy your curiosity though here’s a video we found of the Pipo U1 Pro getting unboxed.

I dunno about you but I’m excited to get my hands on this. Hopefully it will be a great tablet! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Please let me know when your review posts! I ordered one of these and it should be here in a couple of weeks. The battery life and screen quality are getting mixed reviews from the bits & pieces I’ve scraped together online.

  2. Saw this upon searching in Google.

The Pipo U2 or the Ultra-U2 replaces the now discontinued Pipo U1. U2 also improves on the the U1 by adding HDMI and an additional 2 mega pixel rear web camera + .3mp webcam (dual cameras). The U2 runs Android 4.1 has Bluetooth and is powered on a dual core 1.6Ghz RK3066 CPU.

    Pipo U2 vs U1pro:

    On Sulit,,Position,1-1,1

    PiPO S2 8″ = P5,900
    PiPO U2 7″ = P6,200
    PiPO U1Pro 7″ = P6,399
    PiPO M1 9.7″ = P8,499

Mukhang discontinued na si U1, pero niliitan naman ang Reso ni U2 siguro just to save on the battery? And as mentioned above may mga dinagdag din at mas compact daw ito, not sure though bakit kailangan nilang gawin yun pero still this is really cheap. ๐Ÿ™‚
