PLDT Brings Google Wifi to the Philippines

Making homes more WiFi friendly

In its push for smart homes, PLDT expands its mesh WiFi offering by bringing Google Wifi to the Philippines.

For those not familiar, Google Wifi is a wireless router that utilizes mesh WiFi technology to give a comprehensive coverage to any home. It is so compact that you can place them in any tight corner.

A three-pack Google Wifi set can cover approximately 251 square meters, making it ideal for those who want their home to be fully connected to the internet. WiFi coverage expansion is easy: All you need it to get another Google Wifi and set it as a WiFi point.

With features such as dual-band (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi, AC1200 2×2 Wave 2 WiFi, and Two 1-Gigabit Ethernet ports, Google Wifi is capable of handling up to 5 4K video streams simultaneously.

Starting today, PLDT Fibr is offering Google Wifi Plan 3799, which consists of three Google WiFi points and an unlimited 50mbps connections. Existing PLDT Fibr users can avail of Google WiFi at Php299 for the 1-piece set, and Php799 for the 3-piece set.
