A couple of weeks ago, we saw the specs for a budget-friendly device from Meizu, the Meizu M5S, get leaked via Chinese certification board, TENAA, and benchmarking app, GeekBench. While we’ve listed the specs down its rumored specs before, it seems as though they’ve changed things up a little prior to its official launch date on the 15th. The Meizu M5S will apparently have two different models that vary in screen size and RAM plus storage configurations, and we now know how much they’ll cost thanks to leaked promotional material. Here’s a look at its spec sheet first.
Meizu M5S (Rumored Specs)
- 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor
- 2GB or 3GB of RAM
- 5-inch or 5.2-inch HD display, 1280 x 720 resolution
- 16GB or 32GB internal storage, expandable via microSD
- 13-megapixel rear camera
- 5-megapixel front camera
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- 2930mAh battery
The entry-level Meizu M5S has been priced at 999 CNY or Php 7245, while its top-spec’d variant will go for slightly higher at 1199 CNY or Php 8696. As always expect a slight bump in its price once it reaches our shores, but we don’t expect the devices to hit the Php 10k mark.
