Get Everyone in the Shot and the Scenery Too!

Selfies. Whether you love seeing them on your social media feed or would sooner unfollow a friend to see less of them, you can’t argue the fact that they’re here to stay. They’re a great way to capture moments with friends and family with you actually in the photo but, of course, it all depends on how long your reach is or how far your selfie stick can go to get everyone in frame with a bit of the scenery as well. This is a problem that the folks over at AirSelfie has been trying to solve since 2014 and their solution is finally up on Kickstarter for willing backers.

The AirSelfie, according to its Kickstart page, is the world’s smallest portable flying camera. This quadcopter snapper is the size of a smartphone and can even be carried around in an integrated case for your device — if you happen to own an Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7, or iPhone 7 Plus that is.

The Airselfie has a range of 20 meters and can hover for up to 3 minutes; it doesn’t sound like much but should enough time and enough of a distance to get all your crew in that perfect beach shot to post on social media and get every one jealous, making you and your friends part of their #squadgoals. If you run of juice, one of the cases being offered can also act as a powerbank for the AirSelfie, so you can top up the unit 20 times before having to plug it in to a wall socket.

The AirSelfie is controlled directly from your iOS or Android device with 3 flight functions, that include: Selfie Mode — Two button operation for distance, Selfie Motion Control Mode — Giving you full access to control the unit via the Virtual Joystick on the app, and Flying Mode — Where you simply hold the unit at the height you want it and leave it to hover as you find the perfect framing.

Once you’ve gotten your shot, you can download the image to your device via Wi-Fi so you can post in on your prefered social media platform.

Backers for the AirSelfie who pledge at lease 179 Euros or Php 9,492 will get the an AirSelfie, a Phone Cover (a choice from the S7 Edge to the iPhone 7 Plus), and a MicroUSB Cable. Pledges can go all the way up to 2390 Euros or Php 126743 to get 10 of everything mentioned above plus 10 Powerbanks as well. Estimated shipping for all the backers of the AirSelfie is on April 2017, where we’re slated to see the price of this flying selfie camera double.
