While the Realme C15 is a relatively new phone, which became official at our shores around two months ago, the brand made a surprise move in India by announcing a model with a Snapdragon 460 processor.
The move to introduce the same phone with a different processor is not entirely new, as Xiaomi did a similar move with the Redmi Note 4, where it introduced one with a Helio X20 processor and another with a Snapdragon 625 processor (which became better known as the Redmi Note 4X
While the specs of the Snapdragon 460 version of the Realme C15 remains virtually the same, the change in processor translates to better performance over the variant with a Helio G35 processor.
Aside from having a more modern 11nm architecture, the Snapdragon 460 also comes with a more powerful Adreno 610 GPU, which best explains why the Snapdragon 460 floors the Helio G35 in all synthetic benchmarks especially with 3DMark.
The Realme C15 Qualcomm edition is priced at INR 9,999(~Php 6.6k) for the 3GB/32GB model and INR 10,999(~Php 7.2k) for the 4GB/64GB model. Don’t expect Realme to bring this variant to our shores, as the C15 Qualcomm edition will potentially mess up Realme’s already stacked line of budget offerings in the Philippines.
