Red Hydrogen One Rumored to Launch in the US this June

It’s coming real soon

Do you still remember the rumored Red Hydrogen One smartphone? There are now reports that the $1,200-1,600 modular smartphone from Red is arriving this summer in the US, which translates to a June release.

According to the rumors, a near-final prototype is already with Red Founder Jim Janard and Red President Jarred Land. Specs for the Red Hydrogen One include a Snapdragon 835x processor, a headphone jack, a hybrid Dual SIM tray, a USB-C port, and a 4500mAh battery. It will also have a pogo pin system for attaching modules such as a battery module and a cinema-grade camera module

As for the display, it is reported to have a 5.7-inch panel with a 2560×1440 resolution. The display has a special holographic mode for viewing 4-View (4V footage). As for dimensions, the Red Hydrogen One is around 2 ounces heavier and slightly bigger than leading 5.7-inch phones in the market. The size–along with its industrial design, makes it one solid phone.

Just like it was rumored previously, the Red Hydrogen One has the ability to shoot 2D and 4V footage, along with a Hydrogen Network to be used to share 4V content to other users.
