It is not the only Xiaomi phone that got a price cut: the Redmi 9  also got a price cut in the Philippines, and you can now get it for under Php 5k for the 3GB/32GB variant.

Redmi 9 Price Cut Philippines: New SRP

We saw the Redmi 9’s new price at Xiaomi Philippines’ official Shopee store, with a price of Php 4,650 for the 3GB/32GB variant. That’s almost Php 2.4k cheaper than its original SRP, and its new price cut makes the Redmi 9 the best under-Php 5k phone you can officially buy in the Philippines right now.

The price cut is part of Xiaomi’s Valentine’s Day promo from February 14 to 16, though the price cut appears to be permanent since it still has the same promo price as of writing this article.

What makes the Redmi 9 a solid option following its new price cut in the Philippines? You get a powerful Helio G80 processor that is capable of running some of your favorite games, and it has a 6.53-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution–an absolute rarity in the under Php5k segment. On top of that, you get a beefy 5020mAh battery with 18w USB-C fast charging too.

Other notable features include expandable storage (in case 32GB is not enough for you) and a quad-rear camera setup that consists of a 13-megapixel f/2.2 main camera with PDAF, 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor.
