A Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi is still the works
Don’t get too excited about the renders of the Redmi Pro 2: Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has debunked the renders, stating that their upcoming Redmi flagship will not have a pop-up camera and will not be called the Redmi Pro 2.
This means that there will be no successor to the Redmi Pro–which is best known as Xiaomi’s first phone with a deca-core processor and dual rear cameras. Nonetheless, Weibing assured that they are working on a Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi phone.
Redmi is mum about its flagship phone, so we will have to wait and see how Redmi plans to make a statement in the budget flagship segment.
