A true budget gaming phone in the making?
Following MediaTek’s announcement of its new, gaming-centric Helio G series processors, Redmi brand director confirmed that there is an Helio G90T-powered Redmi phone in the works and that it will be available globally.
Details about the phone were not disclosed. However, we know that the Helio G90T will sport two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores has a maximum clock speed of 2.05Ghz and can support up to 10GB LPDDR4X RAM.
The Helio G90T recently made a visit to AnTuTu with a score of 222.3k–which is higher than a score obtained with a Snapdragon 730 processor.
As a gaming platform, we expect the upcoming Redmi phone to create a new segment of mid-range gaming phones and will not go against the likes of the ROG Phone 2, Red Magic 3, and Black Shark 2 Pro.
