RIM launches 5 BlackBerry phones in the Philippines

5 New BlackBerry Phones launched in the PH

Research In Motion (RIM) held a press launch to showcase 5 new models of BlackBerry smartphones that will be available in the Philippines starting January 13, 2012. The event was held at the Establishment Bar and Restaurant at the Fort Strip in Taguig. The place was packed with bloggers and press!

Francois Mahieu, RIM Senior Director for Product Management in Asia, took the stage and presented these five new models:

  • BlackBerry Bold 9790: This phone was launched last year in Jakarta, Indonesia. We covered the event and we already have a full review that you can find here. SRP: Php22,890
  • BlackBerry Curve 9380: The all-touch Curve was also launched in Jakarta together with the Bold 9790. You can read more about it here. SRP: Php16,990
  • BlackBerry Torch 9810: This is the upgraded version of the highly successful Torch 9800. We’ll be doing a review of this soon so watch out! SRP: Php28,590
  • BlackBerry Torch 9860: We first saw this phone during the BlackBerry 7 PH launch. Definitely a fascinating phone since this is supposed to be RIM’s answer to high-end touch screen devices. SRP: Php24,690
  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 – Pure White: It’s a white model of the Bold 9900. Read our review of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 here. SRP: Php31,690
