Samsung adds Apple Music to its Smart TVs

More music streaming platforms to choose from

Samsung adds more features to its Smart TV offerings by adding support for Apple Music. This makes the Korean tech giant the first brand to add Apple Music to TVs. The update will be available to Samsung’s Smart TVs from 2018 onwards. These include the N, R, and T series, Lifestyle TVs, QLED TVs, and QLED 8K models. With Apple Music, Samsung users have access to over 60 million songs, music videos, and thousands of curated playlists. In addition, Apple Music also features Beats 1—a global live stream with exclusive shows by artists like Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, DJ Khaled, and Elton John.

Our partnership with Apple has been instrumental in bringing consumers an unparalleled lineup of different entertainment options, especially as they seek out more content choices from their Smart TVs,” Samsung Electronics Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Salek Brosky said.
