It is on par with the Redmi Note 8 Pro
The Galaxy A71 is one of the first phones Samsung launched in the Philippines for 2020. DxOMark recently tested the mid-range phone and gave it an overall score of 84. That makes the Galaxy A71 on par with the Redmi Note 8 Pro but a point behind the Galaxy A50.
While the Galaxy A71 cannot compete with current flagship phone, DxOMark commended the mid-range phone for its wide dynamic range even in high contrast situations, along with its accurate target exposure. Compared to the iPhone 11 and Pixel 3a, the Galaxy A71 did a better job of handling shadows. The Galaxy A71 lags behind with autofocus, as DxOMark said that the phone has a slow response time when focusing in low-light situations.
As for videos, the Galaxy A71 does well in delivering a balanced exposure and having a good stabilization system. Unlike with photos, the Galaxy A71’s dynamic range for videos is limited, with highlight clippings noticeable in high-contrast lighting.
