Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Reportedly Launching Earlier than Expected

While we are waiting for Samsung’s 2021 flagship phones, there’s a new report that the Galaxy S21 series might be launching a month earlier. According to trusted tech analyst Jon Prosser, the Galaxy S21 series is set to be announced on January 14, which is a month earlier than the usual February launch. Like with the Galaxy S20 series, there will be a Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra.

As for colors, the Galaxy S21 will have a broader color selection with Gray, Pink, Violet, and White. The Galaxy S21+ will only be in Black and Silver, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available in Violet. Little is known about the Galaxy S21 series, though reports say that Samsung is removing the wired earphones in exchange for a pair of TWS earbuds called Galaxy Buds Beyond. However, other reports state that Samsung might be going the Apple route of removing the charger and earphones from the packaging, prompting users to purchase those separately.

As for rumored specs, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will retain the 108-megapixel main camera and 40-megapixel selfie snapper as its predecessor, though hardware upgrades (especially on the former) is expected. Depending on the region, the Galaxy S21 Ultra may be powered by either a Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 processor, and will possibly have a 5000mAh battery.
