Qualcomm’s god-tier Snapdragon 820 has started to come out in several flagships recently. While we haven’t had the pleasure of playing with the new flagship processor folks over at XDA Developers managed to get their hands on Samsung’s flagshups running SD820 and compared the new SoC against other flagship devices to see what its performance was like.

Testing

The tests were run in synthetic benchmarks like GeekBench and 3DMark, and the results were predictable: the Snapdragon 820 scored high in the multi-core tests, though the dual-core A9 chip in the iPhone 6s still managed to hold its own againt the faster processors with more cores.

In graphical performance, the new Adreno 530 GPU delivers its promise of up to 40% better performance than the previous generation, scoring twice as high as Snapdragon 810.
