Samsung Galaxy S8 Might Not Have Dual Cameras After All

Samsung Galaxy S8 Might Not Have Dual Cameras After All

Samsung Galaxy S7 17

You’ve all probably seen or heard about the leaks for Samsung’s incoming flagship, the Galaxy S8. While some of its specs include: a 4K display (Mostly likely Super AMOLED, of course) and Exynos 8895 running the show — it was also the possibility of having a dual camera setup that had us pretty excited. While all these leaks and rumors aren’t final, it would be great to see the Korean brand hop aboard the dual camera norm for flagship devices; after all they had some pretty kick ass cameras on the S7, S7 Edge, and the Note 7 — had it not been recalled. Well, it seems those dreams have been somewhat squashed as another rumor is now making its rounds, saying that the Samsung has canned the idea of having a dual cam setup on the S8.

Our sources says that a “leakster” from China, who has been reliable in the past, is saying that plans for a dual camera for the Galaxy S8 have “fallen through” but gave no reason as to what might have caused the sudden revert to a single cam setup. This is all speculation at this point, of course, and I guess we’ll have to wait and see for the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S8 to see what the Korean brand is cooking up to bounce back from the crippling loss of the Galaxy Note 7.
