Expect an official rollout in the coming weeks
While both the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus came with Android 8.0 out of the box, Samsung is spotted working on an Android 8.1 update for both phones. This was spotted in a GeekBench screenshot for the Galaxy S9:
As of this writing, we do not know when Samsung will roll out the update to both the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. Should it roll out officially, expect the latest security update to come along with it. In addition, there’s a possibility that Samsung might bundle in a couple of new features with the update. Nonetheless, this leak indicates that it is coming out very soon.
