Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 (LTE) Retails for Php15,990

Sony and Samsung are pretty close when it comes to the title of having the best premium Android tablet. Last year we saw the popular Samsung Galaxy Tab S Series go head to head with the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Both devices were at the top of their game. However not a lot of people were able to bring one of those bad boys home due to the price point. Initially they all retailed for over Php30,000 which put them out of reach (hard to justify spending so much on a secondary tablet like a tablet). The good news is that there are alternatives that won’t totally break the bank. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 (LTE variant).

Make no mistake, this isn’t a specced out beast of a machine. The internals are average at best and the display isn’t something that you would drool over. However it is half the price of the Android tablet flagships so it’s still worth keeping in mind.

  2. Apple just phased out the IPad Mini 1 with that screen resolution. And that was two and half years technology, equivalent to maybe 20 years in human lifetime. Unless you need LTE, anyone who bought this over the Mipad (10,599 pesos), should have their head checked or their wallet emptied…

    1. And Samsung *thinks* the consumers are gullible enough not to peek at the screen resolution, this is what you call ”You get what you pay for”….and then some….in a really bad way, quite an overpriced monstrosity , like, what were those guys at Samsung thinking?

    1. My mistake. Wala palang LTE yun. But sa presyo ng Samsung na8to makakabili ka na ng full HD na tab AND the glorious flare ?x.

Kimstore and Widget sells it at just over P13k.

    1. Kaven, I have been Kimstore’s customer for 5 years now. All are working well, except for the iPhone 5s I dropped in the pool :/

  4. Is it possible for you guys to have a full review on this? I love the Tab S but that’s too pricey for me. The S-Pen looks cool but I’m afraid if this Tab A will deliver any good when it comes to playing games and stuffs. TIA!
