Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 Unveiled: IP68 and MIL-STD 810G Compliant

Say hello to the newest member of Samsung’s very durable Xcover device line-up, the 4.99-inch Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4. The Xcover series focuses on toughness and resilience and the new Xcover delivers on that promise with IP68 dust and water resistance, as well as operability in extreme temperatures, thanks to its compliance with certain US Military Standards (US MIL-STD-810G). Don’t expect mind-blowing, top-tier specifications for this handset, however.

According to Samsung’s promotional bit, the Xcover 4 can be easily used with gloves on. Its rear snappers are also capable of taking pictures even in extreme conditions, due to its military grading and the sensor’s light sensitivity rating. The phone also features physical buttons for its home bar.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 hits shelves this April, initially in Europe, for EUR 259 (~Php 14K). No word yet from Samsung on which regions this phone will be headed to afterward.
