Samsung NaviBot

Ok I was initially thinking that this was a media player or an air purifier. Apparently it’s much more than that, lol.

Samsung Philippines invited us to the launch of their new line of digital appliances yesterday afternoon. There were a lot of interesting stuff on display including their new range of air conditioners, washing machines, and refs, all of which promised energy efficiency, durability, and stylish design. What caught my eye the most though and what pretty much stole the show was the Samsung NaviBot. When I first saw it on the floor I thought it was some sort of media player or air filter but it’s so much more than that!

So what does it do?

The NaviBot is a robotic vacuum cleaning machine. It can self-navigate and will clean your floor and carpets with it’s triple brush system. Don’t believe me? Here’s a video taken by TechieGadgets of the NaviBot in action!

Amazing right?

The NaviBot is able to self-navigate because it has an onboard camera (30 fps) that checks the environment and plots a “cleaning course”. It’s so smart that when it runs out of battery it will go back to the docking station, recharge, and then go back out to where it left off! Hahaha! Coolness.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to ask how much the SRP was but as soon as we find out we’ll let you guys know.
