Samsung Silently Announces Exynos 9810 Chipset and ISOCELL Slim 2X7 Sensor

Will they be in the Galaxy S9?

While we are waiting for rumors about the Galaxy S9, Samsung silently launched the Exynos 9810 processor through a press release. In their statement, Samsung was proud to announce its products that won at the CES 2018 Innovation Awards. Among these products include the Exynos 9810 and the ISOCELL Slim 2X7–two components that we might be seeing in the Galaxy S9.

Not that much has been said about the two though: The Exynos 9810 is based on a 2nd generation 10nm process, and has 3rd-generation custom M3 cores, along with an upgraded GPU, and an LTE modem with support for Cat. 18 6CA.

On the other hand, the ISOCELL Slim 2X7 is a 24-megapixel image sensor with 0.9?m pixels. Among its notable features include a Tetracell and remosaic technology to simulate bigger pixel performance, and a compact design that will fit into slim smartphones.

While this is all we know so far, we are guessing that these components might be used for Samsung’s upcoming flagship next year. But then we may be wrong since there is no mention of a neural processing unit on the Exynos 9810–a rumor that has been going for a while since brands like Huawei have been using the said tech already.
