Samsung Starts Rolling Out Android Nougat Updates for Galaxy Devices

 

Samsung enthusiast blog SamMobile reports that the Korean tech titan has started pushing out Android 7.0 Nougat updates to certain Galaxy series handsets and tablets. Here’s the compiled list of devices slated for an upgrade soon. How soon? No actual date on that, for now.

  • Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016 and 2017)
  • Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016 and 2017)
  • Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016 and 2017)
  • Samsung Galaxy A8
  • Samsung Galaxy A9/A9 Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy S6
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Active
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+
  • Samsung Galaxy S7
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Active
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 5
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

According to SamMobile, these other Galaxy devices should be seeing a Nougat update as well, though no confirmation yet from their sources or from Samsung. Owners of these handsets will have a little while longer for the latest flavor of Android OS.
