Samsung Collaborates with PSID for its Art-Oriented The Frame TV

Technology and art go together with this new concept

With all the innovations for TV nowadays, one would ask: How can you make this often-used appliance more unique? In the case of Samsung, that involves cleverly disguising the TV as an art piece. Yes, that has become possible with The Frame QLED TV: More than your average TV, The Frame TV transforms into a customizable work of art when not in use with its Art Mode.

Through this clever feature, you can set The Frame TV to display over 100 artworks exclusive to Samsung–ranging from wildlife, landscapes, drawings, digital art, to still life. Aside from that, you can choose to upload your own work of art and personalize it with different layouts and filters using your smartphone.

As a piece of art, it comes with a wooden frame bezel–available in white, walnut, and beige wood–to make The Frame TV look more like a painting or photograph hung on a wall. Paired with Samsung’s No Gap Wall Mount system and Invisible Connection Cable ensures that The Frame TV is installed seamlessly.

Being considered an art piece, Samsung collaborated with Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) for the school’s Glamorous, Opulent, and Luxurious Designs (GOLD) exhibit. Showcasing contemporary interior design by PSID students, teachers, and alumni, the exhibit previous various living areas incorporating Samsung’s products including The Frame TV.

Samsung and PSID’s GOLD exhibit is open to the public for the whole month of October at Uptown Bonifacio Mall in Bonifacio Global City.

Samsung’s The Frame TV is available in 55-inch and 65-inch models, and can be purchased in Abenson, Ansons, and SM Appliance Stores. It comes with one free set of customizable frame and 6-months unlimited access to Art Store for customers who purchase The Frame TV from September 23 to December 31, 2017.
