Will this be the processor to power the S7?

It’s getting closer and closer to Q1 of 2016, and you know what that means for Samsung – another announcement for their next flagship, the S7. But before we get to that, Samsung needs to figure out what kind of processor they need to put into the beast. Apparently, they’ve already created the monster that will power their next flagship, according to an AnTuTu entry, and it’s a monster.

The new chipset will be the Exynos 8890, and it recently managed to score an almost unbelievable 103,692, which tops the current record set by Huawei’s Mate 8. The host device that managed to get that score was the SM-G9300, which is currently believed to be the company’s upcoming flagship, the S7.

Since Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 is still an unknown quantity, it’s a good bet that countries in Asia will receive Galaxy S7s with the Exynos 8890 chipset when the device is released next year.
