Samsung’s Foldable Galaxy X May Be Closer Than You Think

Samsung’s Foldable Galaxy X May Be Closer Than You Think

All signs to it being released later this year

There might be yet another Samsung flagship released this year if all things go according to plan. Samsung’s rumored foldable smartphone, the Galaxy X, has been spotted being certified in their home country of South Korea by the National Radio Agency with a model number of SM-G888N0, which means that the launch of the phone of the future may not be too far behind.

The Galaxy X isn’t a completely bendable smartphone yet, as earlier reports point to a device that has a hinge in the middle. After that first device hits the market, a fully bendable smartphone will be made to consumers, but only if the first one is a commercial success. With most of their competitors adopting a 18:9 edge-to-edge and near bezel-less displays, Samsung maybe looking for a new and unique edge to make their products stand out, though there’s a big question of whether consumers are still interested in foldable phones in today’s smartphone market.
