Samsung’s Galaxy A50 Scores Well in DxOMark

It’s on par with older flagships

Samsung’s Galaxy A50 impressed us with its camera when it went through our review labs a few months ago, producing great shots in both bright and low light. The folks behind DxOMark have recently finished testing Sammy’s current mid-ranger, and while it doesn’t post extremely high numbers, it still managed to deliver performance on par with older flagships.

Specifically, the Galaxy A50 is on the same level as the LG G7 ThinQ, Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium and a point behind the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

The phone managed to deliver a score of 85 on stills, though its video score of 79 managed to drag it down a few points. The phone has good color reproduction, wide dynamic range and good exposure – impressive for a phone in its price range.
