Earlier this September, Samsung unwrapped their newest flip phone in China, the Galaxy Folder 2. That was a budget tier clamshell phone. This one leaked through live images is apparently Samsung’s premium level flipper, codenamed “Veyron”, and is packing some serious hardware. We covered the “Veyron” in an article early June, but now more specs have surfaced from Chinese leaksters.
Samsung “Veyron” SM-W2017 (Rumored Specs)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor
- 4GB RAM
- 4.2-inch FHD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
- 64GB internal storage
- 12-megapixel rear camera, phase detection AF
- 5-megapixel front camera
- USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner, Samsung Pay
- 2000mAh battery
The specs are obviously designed for power users, so if you’re looking for a flip phone form factor phone with beefy specs, then this “Veyron” is right up your alley, if you’re willing to wait.
