Sony does an early cut for the prices of their new phones
Sony has already cut the prices of their newly released Xperia Z5 series of phones mere days after going on sale online which include the Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Ultra. Previously the phones started at £549 for the Z5 Compact (around Php 39.5K) and £699 (around Php 50K) for the high-end Z5 Premium. Today Sony’s priced the Z5 Compact at just £429 (around Php 30K) while the Z5 Premium only costs £629 (Php 45K).

Similarly, the regular Z5 used to be priced at £599 (around Php 43K) but is now priced at £549 (around 39.5K). It’s also important to note that UK pricing for phones is a bit higher because of taxes, etc.

This is good news since it seems like Sony is responding to feedback from the marketplace regarding the pricing of their devices. Obviously that’s no guarantee that Sony will be reducing prices for their phones once they officially reach our shores.
