Sony has confirmed that they will be releasing a new Xperia phone at IFA 2019.
In the teaser video, Sony hints at an Xperia “in the palm of your hand”, fueling speculations that the Xperia Compact line is coming back instead of launching a mid-year refresh of their main flagship phone.
Given the tagline, it is most likely referring to the Xperia 2, which is rumored to have a smaller 6.1-inch 4K OLED display with a long 21:9 aspect ratio. Save for the triple rear camera placement, we expect the Xperia 2 to have the same specs with the Xperia 1: Snapdragon 855, three 12-megapixel rear cameras, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage.
