Sony Xperia Z runs LTE on Smart!

We’re currently wrapping up our full review of the Sony Xperia Z (click this if you haven’t read our unboxing yet). One of the last things we tested was LTE connectivity and we’re happy to report that the Sony Xperia Z can run LTE from Smart’s network! The photo above shows a little over 8Mbps DL which while isn’t the fastest we’ve seen is still commendable. We’ll do more speedtests in the next few days and try to get a higher speed.

Here’s to hoping that Smart adds the Xperia Z to their line-up. It’s definitely one of the best phones out in the market today and it would be good for more people to get their hands on it. There’s a high probability of that happening though seeing as Smart was the one that pushed the Sony Xperia V last year (another LTE Sony device).

Watch out for our full review of the Sony Xperia Z soon! We’re pushing to have it out by the weekend.
