Sony’s A6400 Brings Back the Flippable Display

And keeps the same features found on the A6300 and A6500

Sony’s A6300 and A6500 mirrorless cameras are one of the most popular cameras used by content creators. We at Unbox use the A6300 for the majority of our videos on YouTube, and they produce really good footage.

Both cameras are excellent for their features: they have 4K video recording, they have support for S-Log, and they have a fast autofocus system. If there’s something that the A6300 and A6500 lack, it is the absence of a 180-degrees flip screen—a feature that is addressed with the A6400.

The addition of a 180-degree flip screen makes the A6400 vlogger-friendly, helping content creators frame their shots easier. What makes the design change great is that even with the more flexible display, you still have an OLED viewfinder in case you want to conserve battery life.

Like its other siblings, the A6400 has a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS that can shoot 4K video at 30 and 24FPS and has support for S-Log2 and S-Log3 profiles. It has a better ISO range than the A6300 and A6500, with a standard ISO range of 32,000 and extended ISO range of 102,400. It has the same vlogger-essential features like a microphone jack and a hot shoe mount, along with up to 11FPS shooting speeds.

The A6400 will be priced at $900(~Php 47k) for the body only.
