Check out the massive C5 Ultra
A few days ago we reported on the near bezel-less Xperia C5 Ultra, and today a Russian website has published live photos of the massive, upcoming handset. Yes, we said massive – the C5 Ultra sports a 6-inch, full HD display with very thin bezels that’s less than a milimeter (0.8mm).
The upcoming phone is said to be powered by a MediaTek MT6752 processor running at 1.7GHz, has 13-megapixel rear and front cameras, both with LED flashes, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal memory and a 2930mAh battery. Pricing for the C5 Ultra is pegged to be around $350, or around 16K.
Photographed alongside the C5 Ultra is the Xperia M5, another upcoming phone from Sony. The M5 is decidedly smaller than the C5 Ultra and has the styling of Sony’s flgaship model, the Z3+. The M5 sports a 5-inch full HD display, and just like the Xperia Z3+, the M5 is both dust and water resistant (IP68 protection). Aside from that, the M5 is reported to pack MediaTek’s new Helio X10 processor running at 2.0GHz paired with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage that’s expandable, 2600mAh battery, 13-megapixel front facing camera and a 21-megapixel rear camera. The leaks suggest that the 21-megapixel shooter on the back of the M5 uses Sony’s new IMX230 sensor and sports a 5x digital zoom wih no perceptible loss in quality, fast AF times of just 0.2 seconds as well as 4K recording. Projected pricing of the M5 is around $400, or around 18.2K.
Since both phones have not been announced by Sony, take these leaks with a grain of salt.
