Starmobile Diamond D1: 5-inch Quad-core Phablet with 3,000mAh Battery (Php7,990)

Starmobile Diamond D1 Announced and Priced

Starmobile made a rather nonchalant and surprising announcement on their Facebook Page earlier today with the reveal of their newest phablet offering, the Starmobile Diamond D1. Packing a quad-core processor with 1GB RAM set-up the device offers your usual optimal Android Jelly Bean experience. That main differentiator though is the battery. The Diamond D1 packs a very generous 3,000mAh battery pack and that should be more than enough to power you through one whole day of use.

Here’s the announcement e-poster:

Woohoo
Woohoo

Here are the specifications:

Starmobile Diamond D1 Spec Sheet

  • 1.2GHz Quad-core Processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB Internal Storage, Expandable via MicroSD Card
  • 5.0-inches Capacitive Touchscreen with Dragontrail Glass
  • Display Resolution TBC
  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • 12.0-megapixels primary BSI camera with LED Flash
  • 8.0-megapixels secondary BSI camera
  • 3G, HSPA+, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth
  • 3,000mAh Battery
  • Android Jelly Bean 4.2
  • SRP: Php7,990

Unfortunately they didn’t post the resolution of the display. We’re hoping that it’s HD but that’s probably not going to happen given the price, hehe. This will probably have a qHD screen… but hey Starmobile is more than welcome to prove us wrong and surprise us. 😛

  1. http://www.gsmarc.com/i-mobile/iq-5-3/ OEM of the Starmobile Diamond D1

Missing specs: MT6589 1.2Ghz, FWVGA resolution.

The resolution is quite low but because of it, this literally becomes the best gaming phone in its price bracket since the SGX544 won’t have to work hard to push many pixels. It also means better longevity for the device.

  2. Another Lame smartphone.. if they should only made it’s processor reach at least 1.5ghz to 1,6ghz and the ram should be 2GB it’ll be a big hit. Yet another lame smartphone.

  3. ganito nalang STMobile Icon vs STMobile Diamond D1

    1. you’re right.. tangkalikin ang sariling atin,. kasi kung tutuusin pinoys are number 1 best in quality prod.. 🙂

  4. para sa gustong mag xperia c na kapos ang budget… siguro same performance lang sila at cheaper by 5k, i’m not saying it’s cheap but cheaper than the sony 😉

Mga kapatid suggest ko lang 2 pero try nyo d kayo magsisisi sa pricetag na 5899 5inch qhd ips ogs screen, 1.2ghz mt 6589t (turbo) very fast, actual ram 998mb, 8 megapix bsi back cam. 2megapix front. 2100 mah baterry.. Actualy im using it 4 a week niw and believe me marami itong tatalunin na local brand.

  6. I want to ask all those people here saying negative feedback about Starmobile D1. Did you consider the price in justifying the specs of this unit. Just to remind you that the price was 8000 and here you are expecting specs for a price of 11-13k units. I already owned the unit and I was satisfied of the performance.

  7. Tama puro angal kayo meron ako nito d1 ok naman performance nito para sa presyo puro kayo reklamo ay sabagay bk super yayaman ng reklmador Kaya gnun para s tao gusto mag android rekomenda ko to sulit 8k nyo

    1. Using my new d1, downloading files via wifi for 12 hours. 50 percent lng ang nabawas. Ayaw ko lang dito ay yung kb layout (nasanay sa 7″ tablet), download ng ibang kb app. as of now, wala pang available na protective case.
