Starmobile Knight priced!

The Starmobile Knight was first introduced to the world exclusively on the Unbox Video Podcast. We had Starmobile’s Marketing Head, Trina Tioseco, show the prototype unit on the show and the device was absolutely stunning. It was definitely way ahead competition when it comes to the design of the chassis and the over-all form factor. It also helped that it packed pretty impressive specifications including the much touted 18MP rear-facing and 8MP front-facing cameras. The phone was formally introduced though during Starmobile’s event at SM North Edsa Annex a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the price wasn’t revealed then but they did say it would be on stores come July. The good news is that we finally have the SRP. The Starmobile Knight will retail for Php11,290.

Here’s a quick review of the specifications:

While the specs are awesome to look at what’s really amazing about this device is the design. It’s crazy thin, feels solid, and is actually like a slightly bigger iPhone 5 (lol).

So how do we feel about the price? We’d love to take a crack at the camera to see how good it really is. If it’s much better compared to the cameras of the quad-core smartphones in the 9-10k level then this is actually a nice buy. The improved camera combined with the display quality (not to mention Corning Gorilla Glass) and the unrivaled form factor is good value given the price.

We’ll definitely make it a point to get our hands on a review unit as soon as possible. If you want to see the unit live on video please do check out the Unbox Video Podcast below. Skip to 56:20 if you want to get right to the Starmobile Knight.
