We wouldn’t mind owning this in the PH

Google is spreading the wings of its Android One initiative, and the search giant’s efforts have now reached as far as Africa. There, Google has unveiled the Infinix HOT 2, a brand new (and stylish) Android One phone for countries like Nigeria and Egypt.

Despite its stylish frame, the Infinix HOT 2 is not an LTE-equipped device, which is understandable, because many countries in the African continent don’t have LTE as of yet. Because of that, a quad-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-inch HD display, dual-SIM capability, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera and 16GB of expandable memory.

As it stands, the Infinix HOT 2 will be priced at N17,500, which comes around to approximately Php 4071.

  1. No no no, let’s just call it “MyPhone Dos!” Because it’s the sequel to MyPhone Uno.

I would personally call Cherry Mobile’s new Android One phone “Cherry Mobile Two.” Because it’s the sequel to Cherry Mobile One and because having that “G1” name is already taken by Cherry’s first smartwatch!
