The wireless charging case is compatible with your old AirPods
Apple unveiled the second generation of its AirPods, highlighting its new H1 chip, “Hey Siri” support, and optional wireless charging case. The new H1 chip supports Bluetooth 5.0, making the AirPods 2 more power efficient—giving you as much as an additional hour of usage compared to the first-gen AirPods.
As for the “Hey Siri” support, you can wake up Siri using the said command. This replaces the first generation’s double tap to wake Siri function, making the AirPods 2 more user-friendly.
Lastly, you have the option to get the AirPods 2 with a wireless charging case. If you choose to keep your first generation AirPods, you can opt to get only the Wireless case as it is compatible as well.
The AirPods 2 is now available and is priced at Php 9490 with the regular charging case and Php 11790 with the wireless charging case.
