The ASUS ZenFone 6’s Flip Camera Is Surprisingly Tough

It takes a lot of abuse and still keeps on chugging

If you would ask us which phone with a mechanized camera module we think is the most fragile, we’d offhandedly say the ZenFone 6. That flipping camera module is the most exposed of all the ones we’ve seen so far.

Thankfully JerryRigEverything proved us wrong with his durability test of the new phone.

Zack tries his damnedest to break that hinge by twisting, pulling and at one point even banging the camera module on the table, but that flipping camera module just kept on chugging even after all that abuse.

We were sure that the motorized camera would fail right after the first test but we were proven wrong, thankfully. It seems like ASUS knew the practical drawbacks of their design and reinforced the camera’s exterior to withstand a heck of a lot of abuse.

Unfortunately ASUS hasn’t officially announced the ZenFone 6 for release in the Philippines, though you can check out our hands on below:
