The Big-Batteried Asus Zenfone 4 Max Gets Dual Cameras

5.5-Inch Display, 5000mAh Battery, and Dual Rear Cameras

We were just talking about how Taiwanese brand, Asus, should price their next Zenfone — not to mention its offshoots — correctly and hours later, the wraps get pulled off the next iteration of the Zenfone lineup’s big-batteried device: the Asus Zenfone 4 Max. The Asus Zenfone 4 Max has a 5.5-inch display and will be powered by either a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 or 430 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 64GB of expandable storage; providing juice to the device is a 5000mAh battery. It’s a lot similar to the 5.5-inch Asus Zenfone 3 Max with one major difference: dual rear cameras.

Asus Zenfone 4 Max Specs

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 425/430 processor
  • up to 4GB of RAM
  • 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display; 1920×1080 resolution, 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass protection
  • 32/64GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB)
  • Twin 13-megapixel rear cameras
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • 4G, LTE
  • Dual SIM
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • 5000mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

As you can see in the spec sheet, we’re going to be seeing twin 13-megapixel rear cameras on the Asus Zenfone 4 Max; one telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.0 and the other will be a wide-angle lens.

In regards to its other internals, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before, so we’re really hoping they price this one — and the rest of the Zenfone 4’s for that matter — right when it lands on our shores. For now though, the price listed by our source pegs it at RUB 15,000 or around the Php 10,000 mark, which is right around the current crop of Zenfone 3 Max phones are priced.

We’ll be keeping our eyes out for more news about the rest of the Zenfone 4 lineup, so keep it locked in.
