Straight Out of Xiaomi’s Playbook
Oscar Wilde said that “Imitation is the sincerest form of flaterry”, but what if someone straight up jacks a phone design; that’s what Chinese brand, Doogee, seems to have done with their recently release — the Doogee Mix. It’s not just the naming convention that they’ve copied over to the latest phone release, but its design greatly resembles Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Sharp Aquos phone we initially saw way back in 2014.
Yes, there are a few glaring differences, such as: the fingerprint scanner, the dual cameras, and other tiny details but it’s not hard to see where Doogee got their idea from. In terms of internals, however, they are vastly different. The Doogee Mix is powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core processor, paired with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. You’re also getting a smaller display size with the Doogee Mix, which measures in a 5.5-inches; compared to the 6.4-inch display of the original Mi Mix.
Here’s a better look at the spec sheet for the Doogee Mix.
