The Fossil Hybrid HR Cleverly Disguises Itself as an Analog Watch

A big chunk of its dial is actually an e-ink display

Are you one of those who want an analog watch that has smartwatch-like functions? Fossil adds a new model to its smartwatch portfolio, and it is a subtle one at that.

Known as the Hybrid HR, Fossil’s new hybrid smartwatch hides an e-ink display behind its analog hands. It feels more like a watch with its 42mm diameter, slim stainless steel casing, and three-button layout on the right side—which you can use for music playback. The watch is waterproof for up to 3ATM and can be configured with leather, silicone and stainless steel straps.

Its e-ink display displays basic smartwatch information such as notifications, heart rate, weather, date, and number of steps. Thanks to the e-ink’s low power consumption, the Hybrid HR’s 55mah battery is rated for up to two weeks on a single charge.

The Hybrid HR starts at $195(~Php 9.9k) and is available in the US.
