A consistent top seller since 2018
Whether you hate or love Apple, the year-old iPhone XR remains to be the top-selling phone for Q3 2018 according to Counterpoint’s latest report.
What makes the iPhone XR’s ranking more impressive is that it has been a top-seller globally since Q4 2018. Helping it maintain its top-selling status is Apple’s price cuts on the iPhone XR in China and select markets.
For the rest of the top ten, Samsung bagged the third, fourth, and seventh spots with the Galaxy A10, A50, and A20, while OPPO has the fifth, sixth, and eighth spots with the A9 (2020), A5s, and A5 (2020).
In addition, Counterpoint adds that a big chunk of top-selling phones are from the mid-range segment, as premium features are slowly trickling down to mid-range phones.
