Looks like Samsung gained a new client for its 64-megapixel camera sensor: according to a new report, Redmi is preparing its next smartphone and is said to come with Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. The phone is said to launch in the second half of 2019.
This makes the second phone after the upcoming Galaxy A70S to up the ante for the megapixel race.
To recap, the ISOCELL Bright GW1 is a 1/1.72-inch 64-megapixel sensor that produces 16-megapixel photos with pixel binning. The new sensor comes with features like real-time HDR, super phase detection auto-focus technology, 480fps video recording, and Dual Conversion Gain (DCG).
