Are you ready for a flagship Android Nokia phone?

We’ve been hearing rumors of a flagship Android-powered Nokia-branded device ever since HMD Global Oy resuscitated the brand late last year, and finally we have a date when that phone will be announced. HMD Oy has sent out invites for an event on August 16, which is when most people believe that the company will launch the flagship Nokia phone, the Nokia 8.

The Nokia 8 has been rumored many times in the past, and if the leaks are correct, it’ll be the first ever Nokia-branded phone to have a dual-camera setup. Other specs are quite impressive too – a 5.3-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a choice of either 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a mostly pure Android Nougat experience.

More importantly, the Nokia 8 is widely believed to be the first beneficiary of HMD Oy’s partnership with famed lens maker Zeiss, who was instrumental in creating many iconic Nokia smartphones in the past.
