It claims to be “the world’s first 16-core gaming CPU”
Move over, octa-core CPUs: AMD is pushing things to the limits with the unveiling of its Ryzen 9-3950x processor. The chip manufacturer’s 7nm processor boasts of a whopping 16 cores and 32 threads. Its base clock speed is at 3.5Ghz, and you can boost that to up to 4.7Ghz. The Ryzen 9-3950x comes with 72mb worth of cache memory and 105w TDP—the latter being unheard of considering the number of cores the Ryzen 9-3950x has.
While it has that many cores, the Ryzen 9-3950x is compatible with a range of X570 motherboards, making it a great option for those who want an incredible amount of computing power using a more common motherboard.
The gaming CPU will be available in September for $749(~Php 39.1k)—a competitive price for what if offers at least on paper.
