vivo is gearing up for its line of new phones for this year, starting with the iQOO 3 5G. Slated to launch on February 25, vivo’s gaming-oriented phone will come in two different shades of purple, along with a special edition orange color.
Based on the leaked official renders, the iQOO 3 5G will employ a flat punch-hole display and a quad-rear camera setup that comprises of a 48-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel portrait camera (most likely one with 2x optical zoom), 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a dedicated macro camera. Other features include a Snapdragon 865 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 55w wired charging, and a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with gaming-centric features: Eagle Eye Display Enhancement and 180 Hz touch response rate.
To make things more interesting, vivo is going to launch a “more affordable” iQOO 3 5G with the Z6 5G on February 29. While it looks nearly identical to the iQOO 3, the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner indicates that the Z6 5G might settle for an IPS panel instead of a Super AMOLED one.
Little is known about the Z6 5G, though a teaser post in Weibo reveals that it will have a Snapdragon 765G processor, 5000mAh battery with 44w wired charging, and a “PC-grade” liquid cooling system.
