Unsurprisingly, it looks like a G-Shock

Casio is one of the first manufacturers that took to making battery-powered, LCD-equipped watches back in the day, and it’s no surprise that they’re now dipping their toes into the Android Wear game with the WSD-F10. The new watch is a tough, outdoor watch that’s designed to go against the elements and win, and has its fair share of high-tech built-in.

Just like any other Android Wear smartwatch, the WSD-F10 has a circular watch face measuring 1.32-inches, with a resolution of 320×300. Unlike most smartwatches, the WSD-F10 conforms to the US Department of Defense MIL-STD-810 standards, and is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters. The watch also sports the ability to show air pressure, altitude, magnetic compass and a whole host of important information for the people who love trudging through the outdoors.

Running out of juice is a real concern when you’re using the current crop of Android Wear devices, and that’s still true with the WSD-F10. That’s why Casio put in a dual-layer display that has a secondary, monochrome LCD that shows a basic watch face that allows the watch to keep on trucking for more than a month if used sparingly.

The WSD-F10 is expected to come with a $500 price tag.
