While vivo and Huawei impressed everyone with their waterfall displays, Xiaomi takes the concept to another level with the Mi MIX Alpha. Sporting an aerospace-grade titanium alloy frame and ceramic back strip, the Mi MIX Alpha’s standout feature is its wraparound Surround display that boasts of a mind-boggling 180.6% screen-to-body ratio.
With its wraparound display, the Mi MIX Alpha sports skinny top and bottom bezels that measure at 2.15mm. The cutting-edge design boasts of features such as display acoustics, pressure-sensitive side-display, ultrasonic proximity sensors, and an advanced mistouch detection algorithm powered by AI.
Aside from the display, the Mi MIX Alpha sports a triple rear camera setup led by a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HMX camera with four-axis OIS—a first for any smartphone. Accompanying it is a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 1.5cm macro shooting, along with laser autofocus and a flicker sensor.
Powering it is a Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with 12GB RAM, 512GB UFS 3.0 storage, and a 4050mAh battery with 40w wired charging. The Mi MIX Alpha will be available this December for CNY 19999 (~Php 146.9k).
