The ZenFone Max Shot and Max Plus M2 are the First Phones to use a Snapdragon SiP 1 Processor

Both phones use a new processor design from Qualcomm

After appearing in a leak, ASUS has made the ZenFone Max Shot and Max Plus M2 official in Brazil. What makes both phones unique is that they use Qualcomm’s first System-in-Package (SiP) processor with the Snapdragon SiP 1.

Developed together with Universal Scientific Industrial (USI) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Snapdragon SiP 1 is based on the Snapdragon 450 and is different from typical System-on-Chip (SoC) processors by incorporating all major components in one circuit, saving precious space inside phones for other components and innovative designs.

While the ZenFone Max Shot and Max Plus M2 look similar, the former sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and 5-megapixel depth sensor. The latter loses the wide-angle camera, sticking with dual rear cameras instead.

The rest of the specs are the same: 6.2-inch Full HD+ display, 8-megapixel front camera, 4000mAh battery, and Stock Android 8.1 Oreo with a planned upgrade to Android Pie.
