The Zephyrus S Goes Big with the 17-inch GX701

Bigger screen on almost the same footprint of a 15-inch Zephyrus

Here’s some good news if you are one of those users who find slim 15-inch gaming laptops small: ASUS ROG is bringing its biggest-ever Zephyrus ultraslim gaming laptop to our shores.

Called the Zephyrus S GX701, ROG’s latest offering comes with a 17-inch 144Hz Full HD display while maintaining the physical footprint of a typical 15-inch laptop. This was made possible by shrinking the bezels, resulting in skinny 6.99mm bezels. The display does not disappoint, as it has a 3ms response time, support for GSync, and has a 100% sRGB color accuracy.

Just like the rest of the ROG laptops launched early this year, the Zephyrus S GX701 comes with NVIDIA’s Max-Q RTX GPUs, offering real-time Ray Tracing and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) on an 18.7mm thin frame.

Configuration options include up to 24GB RAM, up to 1TB SSD, Intel Core i7-8750H processor, and a choice between RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and RTX 2080 Max-Q GPUs.

Pricing for the Zephyrus S GX701 are as follows:

GX701GV (16GB/512GB/RTX 2060) – Php 139,995

GX701GW (16GB/512GB/RTX 2070) – Php 169,995

GX701GX (24GB/1TB/RTX 2080 Max-Q) – Php 209,995

All three models come bundled with a ROG backpack and ROG Gladius II mouse. Pre-orders start from March 1 to March 10, and the first 20 who will pre-order will receive freebies valued at Php 17,000.
