As leaked by a case maker
We know quite a lot about the upcoming Galaxy A5 (2018), and we finally have a clearer look at the upcoming mid-range phone from Samsung thanks to this leak by case maker Olixar.
Based on the photos, we can confirm a few things: Aside from the Infinity Display and Bixby button, the Galaxy A5 (2018) will have a single rear camera, along with a fingerprint scanner placed below it, correcting a design flaw on the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8, where the fingerprint scanner is placed beside the camera.
As for the launch, we expect the Galaxy A5 (2018) and A7 (2018) to launch by January next year. However, there are chances that the model names may be different, as Samsung is reportedly unifying its model names for the Galaxy A series. As shared by a leakster, there’s a possibility that the Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) will be named Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8 Plus (2018) respectively.
