This Moto Mod Turns The Moto Z Into A Walkie-talkie

We’ve seen quite a few unique Moto Mods since Motorola launched the Moto Z and Moto Z Play, but the latest one out of crowd funding site IndieGoGo is probably the most unique of them all. The Linc as it’s called, transforms the Motorola Moto Z and the Z Play into a fully featured walkie-talkie, useful when traversing areas without reliable cellphone coverage.

Costing around $99 which is around 5K, the Linc is compatible with 22 radio channels and has a range of 4 miles or 6.4 kilometers.

It also has a 1,500mAh battery inside, and can send out an SOS when you find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere. It also has a built-in GPS transceiver and can communicate with other brands of walkie-talkies thanks to its radio-over-IP.
